A research request is an exhaustive search of all records to try to find yours. This happens automatically during registration and also if you place a paid order through our customer service team.
The accuracy of the information on the request can greatly affect the result of the research. DS will search +/- 2 years from the date provided and all interrelated location names.
Allow up to 7 days for DS to look through all records.
If your records are found on a purchased research request, you will receive a transcript.
If your records are not found on a purchased research request, you will receive a letter of verification explaining that there is no record found and your next steps.
If your records are found on a registration research request, you will have all documents options available to you to place an order.
A paid research request is non-refundable.
